Zacchaeus Financial Counseling, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is pleased to announce the success of its free financial clinic. Since June of this year, four financial clinics have been held in Stanford, Kentucky, Southwest Virginia, and Danville, Virginia. Additional clinic sites are continually being developed. The free financial clinic provides a unique opportunity for individuals of any income or financial status to ask questions without any strings attached. Through the clinic the public can see how a financial professional would address a particular situation.
Zacchaeus Financial Counseling, Inc.'s mission is to provide financial planning, financial coaching and financial counseling to individuals earning lower incomes and households in financial crisis. “Financial planning is often seen as a luxury available only to wealthy families. The reality is that financial planning is more important for an individual with a lower income because that individual cannot afford to make mistakes with money and cannot recover as quickly if something does not go as planned,” says R. Joseph Ritter, Jr. CFP®, founder of the organization.
As a non-profit organization, Zacchaeus Financial Counseling, Inc. offers services regardless of an individual's ability to pay. A knowledgeable financial professional brings a fresh perspective that can see beyond a current financial situation and look at what is possible. “Sound financial planning can bring peace of mind that your most important financial goals can be reached and is one of the greatest benefits of financial planning,” says Ritter.
